A Speakers’ Corner is an area where open-air public speaking, debate, and discussion are allowed. The original and best known is in the northeast corner of Hyde Park, although other areas for Speakers’ Corners have been established in other countries. Like a visual speakers’ corner designers are using words to bring their message to a broad public. Whether by branding the company’s name and reliving the logo craze of the ‘80s, or like artist Scott Albrecht’s mural in Brooklyn where his message “holding on to what will come” is concealed in the artwork trying to give the public a positive sentiment in difficult times. Let’s embrace this positivism and spread the word.
